Fire and Ice by Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

This is such a beautiful poem by none other than Mr. Robert Frost. I read a lot of his work when I was younger and I can't help feeling nostalgic. This is a short yet simple poem that expresses sorrow and the type of death a person prefers. I don't know, but I agree. Ice seems less painful than fire!
