Summer is just days away and despite school letting out this week, I’ve got a tremendous amount of work to do. Aside from hunting for some freelance work this summer to build my resume off of, I’ll be working on quite a few personal projects I’ve been neglecting, some of which involve these websites. The others, of course, are the current costume projects I’m working on, house work (painting, landscaping, etc), and my writing projects.
I’m currently messing around with different plugins for the site. I never realized how complicated something meant to make your life easier can be! While there are so many awesome ones out there, there are also so many that simply won’t work and I can’t understand why for the life of me. I follow the documentation, look at the demos on the websites, install the code like I see, and nothing! Is this just a streak of bad luck with bad apps or am I doing something wrong? Usually savvy-me is struggling with code. Hah, now that’s funny.
It’s been forever, but I’m finally back with a new layout and upgraded system in general. Now my hobby website is running on WordPress to simplify the process of updating while also converting the website into a mini blog. I feel like the previous use of this site wasn’t enough and wanted to add more, but I wasn’t sure of what. After all of the time I spent in school doing various things, I came to the conclusion that a blog would work out just fine. Being that I’m not interested in having a blog on something less personal like an account elsewhere, this works out for that reason too.
