Web operations meets user-centric design.

Hi, I’m Britt and I’ve had a love for what makes the www tick since a young age. That passion lead me to begin learning the backbone of websites, HTML (and CSS!), when I was still in 6th grade. Now I don’t just create and update websites. I evolve them.

Combining technical front-end design and development with a commitment to accessibility and cross-functional coordination, my mission is simple. Turn technical requirements into seamless digital journeys that drive results and include every user.

Featured Project:
Natixis IM

Spent over 6 years designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise-level web experience. Apart of the team who led a major CMS transition from Joomla to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Worked on many smaller projects in addition to managing over 20 site variations in several languages.

Over the Years...

Website Operations (WebOps) & Governance

At my last role, my primary focus was website operations (WebOps) and website governance. Here I focused on improving an enterprise level site via regular audits, standards, and bug fixes. Page design and content updates were handled by us as well as backend management of Joomla and later Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Web Design & Development

A previous role focused on building and maintaining website experiences on a customized CMS. This involved design, custom coding (HTML / CSS / jQuery), and customer support. In my last role, I also dove into project management, built new language websites on our existing ecosystem, and created smaller custom-coded experiences.

User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI)

During my last role, I dipped my toes in areas of both UX and UI. For UX, this meant research, information architecture (IA; ie: sitemaps), wireframing, and even prototyping. For UI, this meant visual design, interactivity, creating / maintaining a library of reusable components, and responsive design.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO was another area of focus where I worked directly with vendors and software (ie: Ahrefs) to improve our search rankings on Google and beyond (AI). This also meant digging into our CMS backend to make regular SEO updates for pages, images, and beyond. My team also worked on automation where possible to manage workload.

Accessibility & WCAG Compliance

I feel strongly about building better web experiences for all users. We all either currently need or will someday need accessibility adjustments. During my last role, I utilized software like Silktide to do exactly this, improving our scores on various projects by up to 30 points with one project hitting as high as 93/100.

Graphic Design & Misc (Social Media)

I have minor graphic design skills I utilize in my roles, such as an understanding of typography, color theory, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy. Software I've used include the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Affinity/Canva, and Gimp. I've even worked on social media updates, mostly involving image adjustments and scheduling.

Like what you see?

I’ve spent the last 6 years at an enterprise-level B2B / B2B2C asset management company, improving their web experience for all. Before that, I was helping small businesses primarily in the theater industry bring their visions to life. Just imagine what can I do for you.
